Oh dear god the cute.

This being us, of course, it resulted in several minutes of cooing over the brain-meltingly cute little rodent, and giggling madly while taking the screens off the windows so it could get outside. (We have no idea how it got inside. We finally got it into the bathroom, where it clung enthusiastically to John's soap, John's pantcuff, John's pantleg, and finally the screen (so we just put the screen back in with it on the outside).
Poor adorable confused frightened flying in circles wingrat!
And, of course, my husband is now performing interpretive dance on the theme of "Mouse with wings! So kyoot!"
It's been a good night.
ETA: Except for the cat, who was so delighted at the thought that it might come into reach, and has had her soft flittery giant-moth potential toy taken away. She's gonna pee in our ears tonight.
